Same comment as on Sugar Hill – those accompaniment tracks would be great. Nothing has helped me more in these lessons than playing along. Even if I do remain stuck at moderate speed!
I second Steve’s request, with regards to this tune and others. I find the back up tracks most helpful in really establishing automaticity.
Thanks, Rachael – that’s helpful (and I agree!).
Good to know you enjoy the accompaniment tracks. I think they’re immensely valuable, and underused. More on the way.
I like that even though we are finding melodies by ear, the exercises are in a new key where I find that my fourth string play is rather sloppy now that the fifth string is nearby. Two lessons for the price of one! Also, I don’t know many of these songs/tunes going in (including this one), so when I am not able to focus on listening to the examples provided, I loop YouTube videos and listen for long periods of time. For example, on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt89qShB00Y , I right click on the video and “Loop”.
Yep, great idea!
Can you explain to me why in the 14th measure the pull off is highlighted and in the 16th measure the pull off is not highlighted? Thanks for all your do!
